High-frequency trader has started trading in commodities through a partner

Virtu Financial, one of the biggest high-frequency trading firms in the world, has started trading in China through a partner.

The company has begun trading commodities, but plans to expand to all futures and equities exchanges in the country, said Virtu chief executive Douglas Cifu.
