Warburg Pincus in talks with Mergermarket founder

Private equity firm is in talks with Caspar Hobbs about working together to source deals

Private equity firm Warburg Pincus is in talks with Caspar Hobbs, a former executive at media company Pearson and one of the founders of Mergermarket.com, about working together to source deals, according to two people familiar with the situation.

Hobbs ran Pearson's professional and vocational training division, but left the company - which also owns the Financial Times - in the past six months.
