Woodford investment trust dealt fresh blow

Three unnamed companies will be devalued – the latest setback for the trust and Neil Woodford, its embattled manager

Shares in Neil Woodford’s Patient Capital investment trust slid by 5%, following the announcement of a further devaluation of its portfolio.

Link, which is responsible for valuing the trust’s investments, will reduce the net asset value by around 3.1p per share or approximately £30m in total. Its statement to the stock market on September 26 did not name the three companies concerned.
