Wyatt plots Panmure charge into private equity

Richard Wyatt will step down next Monday as executive chairman of Panmure Gordon, the Aim-listed UK stockbroker, to focus on Panmure Capital, the private equity joint venture it created with HBOS in January.

Wyatt, a former Citigroup banker, joined Lazard as chairman of its equity capital markets business in November 2003, before the UK investment bank bought Panmure Gordon from German bank WestLB.
