Zopa ousts director following arrest in India

Wadhawan Global Capital chairman Kapil Wadhawan was arrested in India at the end of January

Zopa, the world’s oldest peer-to-peer lender, has ousted board member Kapil Wadhawan after he was arrested in connection with a money-laundering probe.

Wadhawan was arrested on 27 January by Indian authorities, according to multiple reports citing a statement by the Enforcement Directorate, an Indian government agency focused on fighting economic crime.
